Iran Calls in German Ambassador to Protest Anti-Tehran Activities

(MENAFN) Iran's Foreign Ministry called in the German ambassador Tuesday to lodge a formal protest over a series of hostile actions against Tehran carried out on German soil, a news agency reported.

Axel Dittmann was confronted by Iranian officials over what Tehran characterized as "destructive and illegal" stances adopted by German authorities, as well as ongoing anti-Iran activities occurring within Germany's borders.

During the summoning, Dittmann was explicitly warned that such conduct stood in direct violation of core international law principles and the UN Charter, according to the report.

The German envoy acknowledged the gravity of the meeting, stating he would convey Iran's strong protests and dissatisfaction to Berlin, the news agency added.
